Sept. 10th Doctoral Colloquium topic is Challenges in Digital Curation: A Roadmap for Research and Practice

The first Doctoral Colloquium for Fall 2010 will be on September 10th. The speaker is Terry Reese Jr, who is the Gray Family Chair for Innovative Library Services at Oregon State University. In his current position he oversees the development and implementation of new strategic initiatives for the Libraries. He is the author of a number of metadata related software packages and libraries such as MarcEdit, a MARC/XML metadata software suite and the C# OAI Harvesting package. He is a regular speaker at national library forums and has published a number of works on library metadata issues, including a book with Kyle Banerjee entitled, “Building Digital Libraries: a How-to-do-it Manual”.
There will be a light dinner** at 6:00 pm, with the presentation starting at 6:30 pm.
