Congratulations to SITE Outstanding Paper Awardees!

Congratulations to Leila Mills, Jenny Wakefield, Anjum Najmi, Dean Surface, Rhonda Christensen, and Gerald Knezek of Learning Technologies for winning the Outstanding Paper Award at this year's Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education Conference (SITE) conference, which will be held in March in Nashville, Tennessee. Leila, Jenny, and Anjum are all recipients of a College of Information Student Travel Award, a program administered by TxCDK.

Dr. Knezek reports that there are only 7 recipients of this category of award among more than 700 papers accepted for the conference, so this is a great honor for the University of North Texas. "At SITE there are many different kinds of awards (for digital equity, etc.) presented. Please know that this is the highest, based on blind peer reviews of scholarly work. Dr. Christensen and I have only twice in our previous career (1997 and 2003) received this award, and we have been submitting since 1993."

The team's winning paper, entitled "Validating the Computer Attitude Questionnaire NSF ITEST (CAQ N/I)" will be available as soon as possible on the TxCDK Student Showcase page.
